‘WALK THE WALLS’ at Cronulla

8th to the 10th November 2019

On the 8th, 9th, and 10th November, the Continuum Art Society, together with the Southern Cross Art Group (SCAG) and the Seniors Reference Group took part in painting a mural at Cronulla as part of  the Sutherland Shire Council’s ‘Walk the Walls’ mural project.

It was a great project to be involved with and a real success.  Our members had a good time helping with the mural on the back of the stage at the Kingsway end of the Cronulla Plaza.  Some of our members taking part were Jim Flood, Marivic Mooney, Carole Byrnes, Janet McCauley, Jan Etteridge, Jennifer Maclaine-Cross, Lexia Duncan and Chris Ridgway.

From SCAG were Margaret Lacey, Joe and Troy Green, Noel Carrigg, Maureen Lembke, Tania Burgman and Michael Rogers.  Plus all the people from the Seniors Reference Group whose valuable input helped formulate the theme and content.  Apologies if we’ve left out some names of those who participated.

More than 40 murals were painted as part of the project, which was co-ordinated by Clare Thompson from Sutherland Shire Council, Corey, a professional Street Mural Artist and supported by Croker’s Paints.
