I have always loved drawing all my life – I went to children’s Saturday morning art classes at East Sydney Technical College and as a teenager completed night-time courses of life drawing, composition and still life, using oils as well as pencil and watercolour. I have a diploma of Fine Arts from the University of New South Wales.
I am a long term member of Continuum Art Society, a past member of Sutherland Art Society and a current member of Calligraphy Southscribes.
I have travelled a great deal over the years and take a sketch book to use as well as a camera.
I have exhibited and sold at my paintings at local galleries including Hazelhurst Regional Art Gallery.
I continue to attend Continuum weekly painting workshops and enjoy being the co-ordinator for the Art Discussion Group held on meeting days.
My daughter grows a great variety of plants and I have lots of subjects from which to choose as I have always loved drawing flowers and have done courses in and exhibited botanic art as a member of the Botanical Art Society of Australia. I have painted a lot of leaves in various mediums and some Sunflowers in our Continuum Art group and particularly like the effect of the gold and black.
