I began formal art education attending life drawing classes at Paddington Art School, followed by four years of drawing, painting, colour & design at Gymea TAFE.
For two years I attended a private life drawing class at Como (Cathy Duff)
I have attended master classes at Hazelhurst on portraiture and landscape Painting and have attended regular life drawing sessions at Hazelhurst with Continuum Art Society for the past 15 years.
I have been painting and drawing over a period of fifty years, while working full time as a teacher. Following retirement from teaching in 2005, I have been able to pursue my interest in art more intensively in the past fifteen years, specialising in pastel drawing and painting. I paint and draw landscapes, figure drawings and portraits of both children and adults.
I have exhibited at Menai, Hazelhurst Gallery, Sutherland Heritage Exhibitions and with the Combined Art Society of Sydney at Darling Harbour and Fox Studio.
I have recently been a finalist in the Combined Art Societies of Sydney, gaining first place in the mixed media and drawing section.
I have sold a number of works over the years, although many of my portraits are of family members which have not been for sale.
I am currently the President of the Continuum Art Society, having held the position for 10 years.
