I grew up around my artistic father in the Sutherland Shire and believe my drawing ability to have developed under his guidance.
My interest in Art generally extended further after travelling in Europe and living in The Netherlands. Visiting many of the great museums and exhibitions there remain a highlight.
After my return to Australia, I committed to learning new skills attending Painting Stage 1 at St George TAFE in 1989. The mediums ranged across Oils, Acrylic and Pastels.
I continued doing many short courses with the St George & Sutherland Community College mainly with Marea Loty in Acrylics.
My interest in Watercolour was first developed with Marion Chapman at the community college, then continuing further Watercolour classes with Norma Jones as tutor at Bankstown Art Society and finally attending The Sturt Summer School at Mittagong -Sketching in watercolour with Jane Blundell in January 2020.
While I have not exhibited very much, joining Continuum in 2019 after my retirement has now given me new opportunity to further my skills and to be amongst fellow artists.
My passion will always remain drawing & painting figures or animals of all shapes, sizes and in all mediums.
